Costs
Table 3 contains cost data on the installation of the five major
processes employed in the upgrade of Bravo 25. The costs of each
process include surface preparation, materials, and installation.
The total cost of the upgrade project contract was $780k.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
The Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center provided the repair,
cathodic protection, and upgrade design and selected the materials
and processes. Naval Station (NAVSTA) Pearl Harbor Staff Civil Engineer
Office and the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Pacific
Division provided design requirements and contract support while
the Public Works Center Pearl Harbor provided proof testing support.
Ace Restoration, of Fullerton, California, was the general contractor
for the project and CORRPRO was subcontractor for cathodic protection.
Ace Restoration and CORRPRO selected upgrade and cathodic protection
products and installed the systems. Mr. Douglas Burke (ESC63) designed
the concrete repair and provided on-site quality assurance. Mr.
David Hoy (ESC63) assisted in the concrete repair and upgrade design
and provided on-site quality assurance. Mr. Steve Harwell (ESC62)
provided on-site quality assurance, conducted laboratory tests,
and conducted proof tests. Messrs. Dan Polly and Tom Tehada (ESC63)
designed the cathodic protection system and provided on-site quality
assurance and acceptance testing. Mr. Scott Miller (ESC72) instrumented
laboratory tests and proof load tests. Mr. Harold Kusano (ESC74)
prepared all design drawings.
